Chrysler is celebrating its return to China with a bang. The Chrysler 300 Ruyi design concept was unveiled last month at the 2012 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition. The design concept, based on the 300C sedan, has an exotic look that builds on its American heritage to appeal to Chinese design sensibilities.
Remarks from Saad Chehab, President and Chief Executive Officer – Chrysler Brand, Chrysler Group LLC, foreshadowed an important relationship between Chrysler and Chinese consumers. “By integrating our distinctive American design and technology with timeless Chinese inspiration, we are looking to attract an emerging set of customers who are driven and dare to be different,” said Chehab. “We look forward to gathering the reaction of Chinese customers to the Chrysler 300 Ruyi, to surprise them with future models incorporating elements that we can see today in this design concept.”
The Maximum Steel body color, bluish steel-grey glass, and 22-inch concept alloy wheels enhance the 300 Ruyi design concept’s urban exterior composition. The interior features appointments like black chrome vents, a brushed patterned trim in the center console, and machined metal accent trim surrounding the shift gate.
