During last year’s North American International Auto Show, the Mopar® team created a 200 Super S concept. Well guess what, our Mopar® friends have been working behind closed doors for the last few months to make it a reality for 2012. By developing a cadre of cool exterior parts, the 2012 Chrysler 200 gets a whole new personality – or should we say attitude adjustment. Still have your doubts?
Well it’s not smoke and mirrors or some tuners pipe dream.
The guys and gals at the big blue “M” have developed the 2012 Chrysler 200 “Super S” that amps up the already refined styling of the 200 along with enhancing the handling.
For the folks who want to go profiling, the Stage I package has a long list of modifications starting with an aggressive large front chin spoiler, satin chrome fog light trim, satin chrome grille surround and mesh in the upper and lower grilles.
Along the body, new lower sills flank both sides with black chrome “200” badges letting the world know this is a tricked-out ride. The hyper black 18-inch “S” alloy wheels look menacing while the guy in the next lane catches a glimpse of the exclusive unique new trunk lid spoiler, satin chrome light bar and a matte black lower diffuser with attached exhaust openings as you pull away from the stop light.
If bending corners and making some noise is your thing, the Mopar gearheads have cooked up the Stage II package which adds a performance coil-over suspension, cat-back exhaust and cold-air intake. In plain English – this means the 200 sits lower and sounds even more aggressive.
If you’re fortunate to be attending the 2012 North American International Auto Show in the Motor City, you can check out the 2012 Chrysler 200 Super S in person. We think you’ll be pleasantly surprised and have an attitude adjustment on the whole “Mid-size sedans are boring” mantra swirling in your brain.
