The New Chrysler 300 “Luxury” – Revealed at SEMA

From left to right, the Mopar® ’12 300 and the new Chrysler 300 “Luxury”

The annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, is unique among auto shows, and not just for being one of the largest and most exciting in the world. Rather than focusing only on production vehicles and factory-available features, this show is all about customizations and emphasizing what’s possible with aftermarket accessories. It’s fitting, then, that the two vehicles officially representing the Chrysler brand in Las Vegas were the Chrysler Mopar® ‘12 and the all-new Chrysler 300 “Luxury.”

Released early this year, the Mopar ’12 300 is a performance tribute to celebrate Mopar’s 75th anniversary. It features unique appointments, select high-performance parts (for example, a 363 horsepower HEMI® V-8 engine), and appearance items straight from the pages of a Mopar catalog.

Classic cool as it may be, the Mopar ’12 was happy to share the Chrysler stage last week in Vegas with the new Chrysler 300 “Luxury,” an elegant vehicle making its first public appearance. Utilizing Mopar products and the design skill of Chrysler Group’s talented designers, the Chrysler 300 “Luxury” takes the premium feel of our ultimate luxury ride, the Chrysler 300, and raises it to another level entirely. How exactly does that happen? Here are just a few of the ways:

  • 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine
  • Black-painted calipers
  • 3:91 rear axle
  • Performance-handling coilover kit
  • True Blue Pearl coat exterior paint and grille surround
  • Platinum-painted fog lamp bezels and fascia accents
  • Platinum mesh grille insert
  • Katzkin® leather interior
  • Leather-wrapped steering wheel
  • Bright pedal kit
  • Mopar ’12 leather-wrapped shift handle

If you want to see more of the 300 “Luxury,” as well as other customized Chrysler vehicles, then stay tuned to Chrysler Forward Look, where in coming days and weeks we’ll be posting much more from our 2012 SEMA Show experience.

In the meantime, we’d love to see your photos from SEMA. If you attended the event and captured a few excellent images of customized Chrysler vehicles — particularly Chrysler 300s  —  please post them on the official Chrysler Facebook page. We’ll choose a few from among our favorites to post right here on the blog.
