We are a nation of different cultures and backgrounds brought together with a common goal— to succeed in life. At Chrysler, we also recognize this in our workplace and promote the development of diversity among our employees. Therefore, we were honored last week when a panel of 15 journalists representing multicultural and mainstream media outlets chose Chrysler Group as “Company of the Year for Workforce Development” during the 16th Annual Urban Wheels award show held prior to the start of the North American International Auto Show.
Randi Payton who heads up Decisive Media had this to say: “Chrysler Group has maintained an impressive record of leading the industry through its diversity initiatives and it continues to expand on that rich history through its internal leadership’s commitment. We salute Chrysler Group, its leaders and employees on this great honor.”
The editors of DiversityInc magazine also recognized our efforts and named us one of the “Top 50 Companies for Diversity” back in March of 2011.
Needless to say, our commitment to a cross-cultural work environment has contributed to our recent accomplishments in the marketplace and will continue to be an ingredient for success.
