Chrysler Design to Drive Winner

During the Chrysler Design to Drive contest, our fans had the opportunity to conceptualize the Chrysler vehicle of their dreams. Thanks to high ratings from other fans and high scores from our judges, one winner is turning his one-of-a-kind Chrysler car dream into a reality.

That lucky winner is Craig Porritt, a father of six from Arizona who beat out the competition with his Chrysler Town & Country concept. We are excited to award Craig and his family a 2013 Town & Country Touring  that will undergo a customization makeover at SEMA inspired by his submission, below.

Chrysler Design to Drive

Craig named the car “The Super Scoob Wagon,” summarizing his entry as: “My dream van screams commitment and stability. Why? Because it’s tricked out with an extra flare of ingeniousness and power. Who would want a souped-up a minivan? I would — a super-cool Dad of six who all share a distinct sense of fashion and an outright addiction to strange power. Our dream car will dare to be as different as we are — something that exemplifies the very things we stand for. Our family would be thrilled to take on the sheer excitement that only the Chrysler brand and MOPAR® could give us.”

Designing his dream car with his family in mind, Craig chose the Town & Country because of the van’s 144 cubic feet of interior space. “The nice thing is that the van seats up to seven people, which is perfect for us,” Craig said. “Nothing competes with a minivan when it comes to carrying kids and cargo.” He also explained that he was partial to the Town & Country because of the class-exclusive dual screen Blu-ray™ DVD system that can provide entertainment for all on long road trips.

Craig will soon venture on a road trip of his own – joining us at SEMA where he will collaborate with West Coast Custom’s Ryan Friedlinghaus to personalize the minivan of his dreams. Chrysler fans and those in attendance will have the opportunity to watch as Ryan walks us through the steps of customization on-site at the largest automotive aftermarket trade show in the world.
